Various impact factors are available for the journals indexed in the Web of Science or Scopus databases, most importantly Journal Impact Factor (JIF), CiteScore, Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP), and SCImago Journal Rank (SJR). Common to these indicators is that they try to measure the impact of publication channels based on the number of references they have received in their publications. The basic assumption is that the larger the number of citations to publications in a journal, the greater its impact on the international scientific community. In the use of the impact factors, it should be noted that they are not comparable between different disciplines.
