What is the Researcher's Profile Tool?

With the Researcher's Profile Tool researchers can create a public profile in Research.fi. The Researcher's Information service in Research.fi will make it easier finding experts in Finland on different fields.

All data is automatically retrieved from other sources so no information is recorded manually to the profile. Researchers log in to the the tool with their ORCID-ID and they can incorporate information to the profile from ORCID, their home organization and other research information from Research.fi.

The tool also makes it possible to migrate data to other services used by the researchers. The researchers themselves decide what information about them is shown on Research.fi and to which partners the access to their information is granted.

The tool is currently under development and will be implemented as a part of Research.fi service during 2022. The Researcher's Profile Tool will also be launched in 2022. The introduction has depended on the act on the Research Information Hub to come in to force on 1.1.2022.

What is being tested now?

To minimize the added extra work of the researchers the aim is to make the Researcher's Profile Tool as effortless to use as possible. With this test version we are gathering feedback on the operability of the tool.
