Nopeampi Jira
Jira 8.0 on huomattavasti nopeampi kuin aiemmat versiot. Kyse ei ole pelkästään nopeammasta indeksoinnista, vaan myös näkymät ja boardit latautuvat aiempaa nopeammin.

Notifikaatiot koosteena
Ei enää notifikaatioiden tulvaa sähköpostiin!
Sähköpostinotifikaatiot jira-tehtävän (issue) muutoksista lähetetään jatkossa kootusti 10min aikaikkunan sisällä tapahtuneista muutoksista.
Lisää tietoa projekteista
Projektit-näkymään on lisätty kaksi uutta saraketta, joiden avulla projektin admin-käyttäjät voivat nähdä tietoa projektin tilasta. "Issues" ja "Last issue update" kentät näyttävät jira-tehtävien (issue) määrän, sekä milloin projektin tehtäviä on viimeksi muokattu.
Jos olet admin-käyttäjä projektissa, voit tarkastella projekteja:

Flexible boards
Flexible boards -ominaisuus mahdollistaa "issue detail" -näkymän koon muokkaamisen dynaamisesti tarpeen mukaan nyt myös Kanban ja Scrum -boardeilla. Skrollattavuuden ansiosta boardit istuvat paremmin myös pienemmille näytöille.

Uudistunut haku
Uudistunu hakukokemus on tehnyt sisällön hakemisesta helppoa ja tehokasta. Monipuolinen ja interaktiivisen suodatus auttaa löytämään tarvittavat tiedot entistä nopeammin. Hakutuloksia on mahdollista suodattaa myös space-kategorian perusteella, jolloin tuloksia voi rajata kätevästi saman aihepiirin sivustoista.
Sivunumerot PDF-exporteihin
Uutena ominaisuutena wiki-sivuista otettaviin PDF-exporteihin (export to PDF) on lisätty mahdollisuus lisätä sivunumerot mukaan.
Tehokkaampaa tiedostojen editointia
Confleunce-sivujen liitteitä voi editoida suoraan omalla työasemalla uuden Atlassian companion -sovelluksen avulla. Sovellus mahdollistaa tiedoston avaamiseen sivulta editoitavaksi omalle koneelle, jonka jälkeen se tallennetaan takaisin Confluenceen vain muutamalla klikkauksella. Toiminallisuus ei rajoitu vain Office-tiedostoihin, vaan sitä voi hyödyntää mm. Photoshop- tai Keynote -tiedostojen kanssa. Ominaisuus korvaa aiemman Edit in Office -työkalun.

Performance improvements
Because of the changes and improvements Atlassian has introduced, Jira 8.0 is significantly faster than the previous versions. It’s not only about faster indexing, but also the most commonly used views, like boards and backlogs.

Better email notifications
Atlassian has made the issue update notifications smarter, and less chatty. In Jira 8.0, events that occur close together will be batched and received in a single email.
More insights into your projects
There's two new columns added to the Projects page to help project admins determine the importance of the projects and to decide, if those are still worth keeping.
Issues and Last issue update will show you the number of issues in a project, and the date of the last update on an issue.
If you're a project admin, go ahead and check it out at > Projects.
Flexible boards
You can now resize the ‘Issue details’ panel on Scrum and Kanban boards! Atlassian has also added horizontal scrolling to boards with many columns that enables the view to fit better even on small screens.

The new Confluence search
The new Confluence search experience has made it easier and faster to search, filter and find the information needed. It's also possible to use space categories as a search filter
allowing users to limit their results to a group of related spaces.
Add numbers to PDF-exports
When a space is exported to PDF, page numbers can be added with just one click. Page numbers will be placed in the centre of the footer on the PDF file.
A better way to edit files
Any file attached to a Confluence page can be edited via a desktop application called Atlassian Companion, which saves the file back to Confluence just in a few clicks. And it’s not just available for Microsoft Office documents; it works for Photoshop files, Keynote presentations — any attached file with a compatible application installed on user's computer. This feature has replaced the Edit in Office function. (NB! This feature doesn't support collaborative editing.)
