EUNIS Learning Analytics event: data informed teaching

Following the successful EUNIS learning analytics workshop in Manchester 2017, this workshop again offers a forum to learn, discuss and further explore the many faces of learning analytics. The theme of the workshop is learning and teaching, with main focus on teachers: What are the potential benefits on the one hand; and problems and risks on the other hand when using analytics?

"Why do learning analytics, what's in it for me?"

  • What learning analytics is? The way to engage teachers is by showing case studies by different LA projects in 
  • Showing case studies of different kinds of learning analytics projects in a class and campus-wide
  • The key part is How these projects affected students in the way they learn - outcomes of the projects, case studies
  • Tools and tips on how to start doing learning analytics (e.g. SHEILA framework)
