Focus Champion is a tool for prioritising project tasks

The Finnish version of Focus Champion was introduced in November 2014 as part of the results from the Champion research project.

There are several important topics requiring project members’ attention each day. The topics that actually get the project members’ attention have a great impact on the project’s success and reaching the goals. Therefore, selecting the right topics for focus is important.

Usually, the projects focus too much on tasks and how the tasks relate to the project goal. In Focus Champion, the attention shifts from tasks to project outcomes. Some outcomes can be produced by individuals but more complex outcomes require co-operation, or even co-creation, involving several project members across the organisations.
