Role and responsibilities

Advises on guidance and strategic direction. Appointed by the Executive Committee.

  1. The EC may establish a Strategic Advisory Council to provide expert advice, guidance, and support to the EMREX User Group on long-term strategy, partnerships, sustainability, and global engagement.
  2. The SAC shall consist of individuals with significant experience and standing in higher education, digital student data portability, policy-making, or other relevant domains.
  3. A MoU signatory may provide a potential member for the SAC who fulfills the requirements stated in 13.b
  4. The EC shall appoint the members of the SAC and designate a Chair of the SAC. The term of service shall be two years, renewable once.
  5. The SAC shall meet at least once per year and may convene additional meetings as deemed necessary by the Chair or requested by the EC.
  6. The SAC shall have an advisory role only and shall not hold decision-making powers.
  7. The SAC may issue recommendations to the EC or the Annual Assembly and contribute to publications or strategic documents, as appropriate.
  8. The EC may provide logistical or administrative support to facilitate the work of the SAC.
