In speed grading, the examiner gives the final grade and possible feedback through the Speed grading -view.
Before the speed grading, it must be ensured that the question-specific assessments have been made either automatically and/or the examiner has assessed and graded questions.
Speed grading assesment
1. On the Dashboard, choose the exam from Unassessed exams.
2. Choose Study attainments, and below Submissitted exam answers.
3. Click the green button Speed grading.
4. The system lists the study attainments and current total scores. The total scores show all the scores for questions assessed at the time, and for essay questions approved and rejected assessments. Pay special attention if the exam includes essay questions.
5. Select the grade and give possible written feedback by clicking Edit.
6. Click Save evaluations and confirm to accept. Graded submissions are saved now below Assessed submissions to be locked. Lock the assessments when you want to publish your assessment to the students.
Speed grading from CSV –file
Begin by following the above instructions 1-4.
1. Below the student list, click Create a CSV template for importing the grades. The file contains student information, but only the grade and feedback are imported.
2. Open the file in Excel and choose the first column by clicking A. The information is separated with a comma.
3. Arrange the information to the columns by choosing Data > Text to columns
4. In the current view, choose Delimited and continue by clicking Next.
5. Determine comma as the Delimiter and click Next.
6. To confirm, click Finish.
7. Add grades to the Grade column and written feedback to the Feedback column.
8. Save the file to your computer as a CSV-file.
You do not have to finish the assessments at once. Save the file and continue later.
Importing a CSV-file to EXAM
1. Begin by following the above instructions 1-4.
2. Below the student list, click Import grades from CSV-file.
3. Choose the CSV-file with the grade and/or feedback.
4. Save to upload the CSV-file. There will be a notification on the screen that the import has been successful.
5. Go back to Unassessed exams on the Dashboard-view. Graded submissions are now under Assessed submissions to be locked. Lock the assessments when you want to publish your assessment to the students.
