You can copy your old exams into new ones as an examiner on your EXAM Dashboard. You will find the copy icon on the right side of each row.

EXAM Dashboard. The copy icon is located on the right end of each row.

A new Choose window will open once you click the copy icon. First, choose the exam type for the exam you copied: general exam, personal exam, maturity test or printed exam. Please note that all of these options may not be available in your institution's installation.

Then choose the exam mode. The most typical exam mode is the EXAM room option. The restricted BYOD (SEB) and unrestricted BYOD (bring your own device) options are available if BYOD exams are enabled in your institution. Please check the situation with your institution's EXAM support.

Choose the exam type and exam mode from the list.

After you have chosen the exam type and exam mode, the new copied exam is created and will open to be modified. Retrieve the course information by typing in the first characters of the Course code, and choosing the correct course from the list. Fill in and adjust other options as needed.

The exam name has the prefix **COPY** and it is highly recommended to change the name. When naming the exam, follow your institutions's course naming policy, and think how your students will best find and identify your exam without misunderstandings.

In addition, remember to change the exam period accordingly in the Publish tab

Editing the questions

If you edit the questions in the copied exam, the changes will also be made to other exams where the questions are in use via the Question bank. This can cause plenty confusion. Therefore, if you do not want a question to be changed in other exams, delete the question from the copied exam, make a copy of the question in the Question Bank, edit the copied question in the Question Bank, and insert it into the new exam. Alternatively, delete the questions from the copied exam and create new ones.
