Exam owner, i.e. examiner

  • An exam can have one or more owners, in other words examiners.
  • When you create a new exam in EXAM system, you are automatically the owner, i.e. the examiner of that exam.
  • You can share your exam with another teacher by adding them as an examiner to the exam.
    • An examiner added to the exam has full rights to the exam and related actions.
    • For example, the examiner can edit the exam or its questions.
    • Note: Questions created by other examiners will not appear in your question library unless you are added as an owner of those questions.

Adding an examiner to an exam

  1. Open the Basic information tab of the exam.
  2. Under the Exam info heading, find the Examiners section.
  3. Enter the teacher’s name in the search field.
  4. Select the correct person from the options.
  5. Press the Add button.

Through the Examiners search field, you can find teachers who have logged into at least once and have the examiner user role in the EXAM system. If the teacher is not found in the search results, ask them to log into the EXAM system. Upon the first login, the teacher should be assigned the examiner user role. If the teacher still cannot be added as an examiner after logging in, contact your institution’s EXAM support.

Exam evaluator

  • An exam can have one or more evaluators.
  • An evaluator added to the exam has more limited rights than the examiner.
    • The evaluator can only access the Study attainments page of the exam.
    • The evaluator can assess students’ exam answers, but only the examiner can give the final grade and lock the evaluation in the EXAM system.
    • Note: If you are the examiner of the exam, do not add yourself as an evaluator. A teacher should be either an examiner or an evaluator in the exam.

Question owner

  • A question can have one or more owners.
  • When you create a new question in the EXAM system, you are automatically the owner of that question.
    • The question owner has full rights to the question’s settings.
    • You can find all the questions you own in the EXAM system on the Question library page.
  • You can share your question with another teacher by adding them as an owner of the question.
    • When you create a new question in the EXAM system, you can add another owner under the Additional information heading in the Owners of the question section.
    • On the Question library page, you can add another owner to a single question or multiple questions at once.
