In EXAM, automatic assessment can be enabled if the examination consists only of question types that can be automatically assessed. In this case, the EXAM system evaluates the exam according to the evaluation criteria defiined for it. At the end of automatic assessment, the teacher must lock the assessment.
Automatic assessment can be used for examinations consisting of multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and/or statement questions. It cannot be used for examinations that include essay questions. It is possible to modify or bypass the scoring of automatic assessment before locking the assessment.
Detailed instructions can be found in the guide section 'Creating an EXAM ' and Automatically evaluated exam.
