OSTrails aims to advance:
- processes and instruments for Planning, Tracking, and Assessing scientific knowledge production beyond state-of-the art,
- working with various national and thematic contexts,
- improving existing infrastructure, and
- connecting key components.
by
- Turning DMPs from static narratives to living, interconnected resources.
- Making DMPs the instrument of choice for assessing and improving quality of RDM.
- Ensuring graphs of scholarly knowledge are discoverable and interoperable.
- Enriching SKGs to drive FAIR assessments and become evidence of FAIR implementations.
- Moving the dial from FAIR assessments to FAIR assisting practice.

OSTrails in a nutshell
OSTrails architectural concept consists of three main elements in the core, interacting with each other: maDMPs which form the RDM story through a set of maDOs. DOs are in turn integrated into SKGs, while each DO may be assessed through corresponding maFAIRTest. Ostrails interconnects the building blocks of Plan-Track-Assess
