Multi-factor authentication (MFA) registration (Suomeksi)

Eduuni Cloud requires multi-factor authentication MFA from all users

If you have already registered for multi-factor authentication (MFA) in your organisation's cloud environment (tenant), you can ignore the steps below. Eduuni Cloud relies on the user's multi-factor authentication of the user's own organisation.

Register another authentication method.

Select Next.


You can use the following authentication methods:

  • Microsoft Authenticator app → On your phone, Install the Microsoft Authenticator app. Download now → Select Next 
  • Another authenticator app → Select I want to use a different authenticator app
  • One-time use code via text message → Select I want to set a different method → ​​Phone
  • Phone call authentication → Select I want to set up a different method → ​​Phone

Note! Your organisation's MFA authentication options may differ from this.

After selection, follow the on-screen instructions to enable the authentication method.

Enabling Microsoft Authenticator

(Microsoft instructions: Set up the Microsoft Authenticator app as your verification method)

Select Next.

At this point, go to the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.

Select + (top right)

Select Work or school account and then Read QR code.

Use the phone's camera to read the QR code on the screen.

You will receive a code on your computer screen, which will be entered into the phone's Authenticator application.

Enter code.

and press Yes.

Select Next.

Congratulations, you can now sign in to Eduuni Cloud!
