When an organisation’s email addresses change, this also affects Eduuni-ID accounts. As a rule, a new email address (domain part) means a new Eduuni-ID account. However, it is possible to migrate registered email addresses within Eduuni for customer organisations through Eduuni consultancy. Alternatively, the Eduuni-ID migration can be done manually by users themselves, for example, if there are only a few users.

Eduuni-ID Migration via Eduuni Consultancy (suomeksi)

The Eduuni-ID migration is agreed with the Eduuni team, and the order can be placed through Eduuni Customer Service: customerservice@eduuni.fi. At the same time, it is also possible to change, for example, Haka or Virtu login credentials. In such cases, the Eduuni-ID migration must be scheduled to coincide with changes in the login source. It is also possible to migrate only the login credentials.

  • Scheduling
    • During migration, logins for users involved in the migration are blocked from accessing services that use Eduuni-ID. Logins are blocked at least 12 hours before the migration begins.
      • Example schedule: logins are blocked the previous day at 16:15, and the migration is completed by 12:00 the following morning.
    • If changes occur in the login source that affect Eduuni-ID accounts, the migration must be scheduled at the same time as these changes.
  • Required Information
    • Agree with the Eduuni team on how the information will be delivered.
    • For the migration, the following user details are needed:
      • Old email address, new email address
      • If login credentials also change: old email address, new email address, old login credential, new login credential:

Eduuni-ID Migration Manually by Users
