Here you will find information on how to submit a technical support request for FIONA.

Please note: If your issue concerns result output checking, data, metadata, data permits, changes in resources (machine, disk storage) or any other issue not directly linked with the technical performance of FIONA please contact Research Services: tutkijapalvelut@stat.fi. If your FIONA credentials have not yet been activated, please contact Research Services also with this matter (please include the FIONA project code in your message). Re-activation of current credentials and package installations (Stata, Python) are requested directly from CSC: see steps below.

Technical issues are submitted to a different email address. First check if our quick help guide can solve your issue. If not please provide the following information in the support request message if possible:

  • Subject: Project code in Fiona (i.e. a01) + a brief description of the issue
    • You can check your project's code in Task Manager (Windows menu → Task Manager) in the Users tab:

  • Detailed description of the problem with following information if possible. This additional information helps solving the issue more quickly.
    1. When did the problem first occur? 
    2. Describe the actions that lead to the problem?
    3. How does the problem manifest itself?
    4. Possible actions you may have already tried to fix the problem
    5. Does the problem concern other users in your project or organization?
    6. Screen capture of possible error messages (remember not to include any research data in the screen capture)
    7. Do you give your permission to reboot the machine, sign out out the session or update software if required? Unsaved data may be lost during these procedures.
