Data metrics refers to the analysis and reporting of research data generated through a research process as well as its use. The analysis perspectives of data metrics can be the openness of research data, use statistics or citations received by the data, among other options. Advanced data management practices, accessibility services, opening the data and the technical solutions supporting these are key prerequisites for effectively applying the methods of metrics to analysing research data, too.
