International publishers, for example Palgrave Macmillan and Routledge, have launched a new peer-reviewed publication format, which corresponds to a monograph in publication type but with a length of manuscripts between that of an article and a traditional monograph. In the MinEdu data collection short monographs are to be classified as book articles. If the publication channel for short monographs can be identified with an ISSN, it can be evaluated in the Publication Forum.
