As the European University Information Systems Organization, EUNIS supports its member institutions to develop benefits of various IT solutions. Despite it, EUNIS is cooperating in various areas. It is cooperating in certain topical areas such as Learning and Teaching, Student Mobility, Benchmarking, Business Intelligence, Information Security and Enterprise Architecture. Constantly it is aiming to exchange information and collaborate with various affiliates. Annually it arranges conferences around Europe and shares Dørup E-learning Award. As a member of EUNIS, the members will be able to build and start new projects.

EUNIS supports Student Mobility by implementing an easy technology to exchange data and improve communication among institutions and students. The goal is to develop the whole European Higher Education area and reach more affiliates. Famous projects of EUNIS are called Erasmus Without Paper (EWP), EMREX, OLA and EGRACONS. EUNIS has created a Student Card to support its projects. As a tool, EUNIS is using a survey in benchmarking. It helps to understand IT costs of higher education institutes. It has a specialized steering group as administrator in benchmarking. BencHEIT enables comparison of data and it is launched online. It has three dimensions that are organizational group, services and accounts. The survey consists of background information, costs and FTE section as well as volumes section.

However, EUNIS supports Business Intelligence of its members by exchanging and sharing information for example during conferences. It is executed as a European online platform. EUNIS participates in information security as well and it has a special InfoSec group to develop security and compliance. It shares knowledge and cooperates with its members in order to solve and process threats. To enable success in it, EUNIS provides countermeasures, technical solutions and network of collaboration to its members. It also has different solutions in handling the GDPR changes privacy legislations. In order to support and share knowledge among its members, EUNIS arranges workshops regarding Information Security.

In addition to the fields of cooperation mentioned above, EUNIS focuses on Enterprise Architecture. There is a Special Interest Group displaying Enterprise Architecture in use to ease and help in creating and designing service concepts for its members. The key activities are for example presence on EUNIS webpages, co-creation portal, ECHEIEA-repository, Service Card structuren and Relation map. EUNIS SIG arranges online meetings regarding the topics mentioned.
