Studies completed elsewhere
Steps:
- Click ”+Add previously completed study” button
- Enter the required information in the "Add previously completed study" fields.
Details of the previously completed study must be entered according to the attached certificate. Be meticulous with spelling of the English name (e.g., Nouns and adverbs are written with capital first letters and grammatical auxiliary words (articles, e.g., the, conjunctions and prepositions) with small letters). For the information to be correct, studies completed in Finland can be copied from the My Studyinfo service.
Accurate information in the “Justifications” field, will speed up the process and reduces any requests for additional information.
From the ‘Select Handler’ drop-down menu, select the Handler for your studies. Choose the Head of the Degree Program when you apply with a previous degree with a previous degree, a large study module, or foreign studies. Choose a teacher as a handler if you apply for accreditation with a course.
- Click the ”Add yourself” tab. This will open the “Add yourself” form. In the “Name” field, you can enter the orginal name or change the name of the study if you seek accreditation for less than the original scope of the study. After entering required information, click the “Add” button and finally click the “Save” button.
The following image shows your application after adding your study. The left side contains information about the module included and the right side information about the study you seek to include.
Competence aquired during work or leisure
Steps:
- Click ”+Add previously acquired competence” button
- Enter the required information in the "Existing competence" fields.
- Click the ”Add yourself” tab. After that opens the “Or add the study yourself” form. Enter into the “Name” field a descriptive name of your competence. Define the extent of your competence in credits. Once you've entered the required information, click the "Add" button. Finally, click on the "Save" button.
