Microsoft OneDrive (service's previous name Microsoft SkyDrive) is a file hosting service. The user can upload, store and share files and synchronize files between different devices through the service.

Editing Microsoft Office documents is also possible through on the browser or the OneDrive applications.

Microsoft does not claim ownership to any material uploaded on OneDrive. They do however hold the right to monitor files for illegal material. Microsoft does not sell user information to third parties but will give user information on legal matters. They do not promise to inform of this to the user.
