University of Oulu  uses Peppi system. University personnel uses Peppi for managing study information, planning the studies, assessing studies etc. As a student you'll use Peppi for planning your studies, course registrations, viewing the room reservations and following up your study progression.

As a student you will operate in Peppi via the student's desktop-view. You can move between different items of Peppi by using the options on the student's desktop.

When you log in Peppi, you will see the student's desktop-view. On the top left corner of the desktop there is the icon of student's desktop (a white doctoral hat on a blue box). On the right side of the icon there is a navigation menu through which you can move between different items: PSP, credits, calendar, studies, agreement bank, recognition of learning, graduation service, atomi, feedback and exams. 


On the navigation menu the items are marked with the headline and a small icon. You can move to an item by clicking the headline or the icon.

You can also move between items on the bottom view of the student's desktop. Each item is shown as blue circle. Inside the circle there is the icon of the item. Under the circle is the headline and a short description of the item. You can move to the items by clicking the headline or the icon.

Personal information and information on study rights

On the top right corner of the student's desk top there is a small profile picture. Next to that is your name.

Move the mouse pointer on to your name or profile picture. A window including information about your study rights will open. You can choose which study right you want to operate with in Peppi: click the name of the study right, and all the information in your Peppi will be related to that specific study right. For example if you chose 2210873 - Degree Programme in Primary Teacher Education, the information on your student's desktop would show you information considering that study programme. You may have multiple study rights, e.g. a batchelor's and a master's study right for one entitlement.

Under the list of study rights there is information of the desktop views that you have a right to operate. As a student you should only have access to the student's desktop.

On the left bottom corner of the window there is a settings-button. Behind that button you can edit your personal information and information on your study rights.


Moving to the settings, there is a navigation menu on the left side of the page. The navigation menu is shared in two sections. The section on the top includes information that is related to the study right which you are operating: study rights, attendance, PSP, ECT credits, mobility and study right collections.

In the lower section you can edit and read your personal information: personal details, contact information, data distributions, next of kin and settings. 

Personal information

Personal details

In personal details there are listed your name, date of birth, language of school education etc. You have no access to edit this information by yourself. If there are changes that need to be done, contact your faculty's Academic Affairs service team.

Contact information

On the contact information you will fond your e-mail address, phone number, street address, home address and invoicing address. You can edit the information by clicking the edit contact information -button. Fill in the edits and save. You can cancel edits by clicking cancel or the x.


Data distributions 

You can edit the permission to use your data for direct marketing and educational marketing. You can also decide whether to allow data distribution for the internet publication about those who have received a study place. If you want to make changes, click edit data permissions. Fill in the changes and save. You can cancel edits by clicking cancel or the x.


Next of kin

Students should add at least one person as a next of kin. Next of kin is a person who is contacted for example in an emergency if the student is unable to contact close relatives. 

Click add next of kin. Fill in the asked information and save. You can cancel edits by clicking cancel or the x.

Settings

On the settings you can change the user interface language and content language visible to you in Peppi. You can edit language settings by clicking edit settings and save. You can cancel edits by clicking cancel or the x.

You can also change your Peppi profile picture. Click change profile picture. Search the picture from you computer and choose it. Save or cancel edits by clicking cancel or the x. 


Entitlements

On the settings page is your name and the name of the entitlement, that the information on the site is related to. You can change the entitlement on the menu under your name.

After choosing the entitlement you want to examine, you can move between the headlines on the left side: study rights, attendance, PSP, ECTS credits, mobility and study right collections.


Study rights

On the study rights you can read information considering your entitlement. You can not edit the information. If the information must be changed, please contact peppi@oulu.fi. 


Attendance

Your yearly attendance information is collected on this site. Read more about annual registration.


PSP

Clicking here you move on PSP site. You will end up to the same site where you have access on the student's desktop via navigation menu or clicking the PSP-icon on the desktop. Read more about the PSP.


ECTS credits

Clicking here you will move to examine your assessments. Read more about the ECTS credits.


Mobility

On the mobility site there is information considering your international mobility. On the site there is a list about your participations on student exchange programs.

Sign out

On the top right corner of the student's desktop there is a small profile picture. On the right side of the profile picture is your name.

By moving the mouse pointer on you name, a window opens, and there is a list about your entitlements.

On the down right corner there is a text sing out. Clicking that you will sign out of Peppi.

You will need an username and a password to log in back to Peppi.
