In the examiner role you can copy your exams. Start on your Dashboard. You will find the copy icon on the right side of the exam row.

Next you need to choose the Exam type (General exam / Personal exam / Maturity test / Printed exam). Please note that not all of these options may be available in your university's installation.

The most typical Exam mode is the Exam room option. The BYOD (bring your own device) options are in the beta testing phase, and thus available only in a few universities.

Exam types and exam modes

You should retrieve the correct course information by typing in the first characters of the Course Code, and choosing the correct course. Fill in and adjust also the Exam info and Exam assessment options.

You can find the copied exam on the Drafts tab. The exam name has the prefix "Copy", so please fix this and edit the exam name. When naming the exam, follow your university's course naming policy, and think how your students will best find and identify your exam without making a mistake.

Editing the questions

If you change the questions in the copied exam, the changes will also pass to other exams where the questions are in use. This can cause a lot of confusion. Therefore, if you do not want a question changed in any other exams, delete the question from the copied exam, make a copy of the question in the Question Bank, edit the copied question in the Question Bank, and insert it into the new exam. Or, alternatively, delete the questions from the copied exam and create new ones.
